O Level tomorrow!
Sunday, 21 October 2007
It's been a long time since I last blogged. As you all know, the O's starts tomorrow. (Actually it had already started a long time ago. Mother Tongue paper? You know what I mean...) A Maths paper 1 tomorrow! To tell you all the truth, I haven't practiced for my A Maths at all! Darn! I'll be doing a lot of rushing after I'm done with the stuff I need to do using the computer. Hmm.. the paper's at 2.30? I didn't know that until early today! Great! It totally spoils my plan... (Actually I do not have a plan.)Thinking of the O's... My stomach's butterflies goes on rampage.

Composition
Saturday, 13 October 2007
I've been doing some composition and adding them into criterion lately, but I was unable to submit one of my composition in. When I tried submitting the first time, they screen just led me back to the home page and my composition wasn't submitted. I ended up trying 3 times, but the 3 times actually used up the limit for the number of submittions and my composition ended up... Missing. Horrid! I'm not sure if it is the computer error or the website's. (I doubt it's the computer) So I had to copy and put it in a notepad and send it to Mdm Noreha. The only problem is, I'm not sure if she will check her inbox. Ah speaking of compositions, I rummaged through my English file and found an old old piece of composition- my first essay written when I was secondary 3. Man, my writing used to suck bad. I think it has improved quite a lot since then. Secondary 3 composition... Brings back memories...

Watching anime...
Thursday, 11 October 2007
I spent most of the time finishing up a 12 episode anime. Couldn't hold myself back from the suspense so ended up watching 9 episodes today. It had a bloody ending and people's heads were cut off, necks were sliced and stomachs opened. (Actually it was one of each...) I'm still recovering from the murdering scenes. I must say, the ending really fits the story.Heh... you must think I'm nuts...

As you all can see, I've changed the background of my blog. As usual, it's a drawing by me. Ok some people may have an opinion on my background picture so just tag it in the box. I'll accept any opinion (except for criticisms...joking!)for example, you may find this current background being indecent, just tag it down and I'll take a note. I love drawing so it's no trouble drawing another background.Today's a Wednesday. Bad bad... One of the two weeks is ending, and I haven't officially started practicing. I know I haven't been practicing much for my past few exams, so I'll have to make up for it these two weeks. Maybe I'll start my revision later. (Note the may be again)Yesterday's graduation had it's (minor) ups and (major) downs, but I guess it's quite nice? Except the classes that are noisy like hell and the waiting for our 'entry pass' into the hall. The teachers wanted us to assemble by 0930 but the graduation thing only started 1 hour later. Why call us 1 hour earlier? I want a refund! (As they say, time is money!)We got a (quite useless) calculator for a souvenir...

MMORPG
Sunday, 7 October 2007
Wondering about what games(MMORPG) to play these few days. Then that brought me back to what I thought of the last time I was looking for a game. The pay-to-play and 'cash shop' games. You can say they're opposites. (Though not directly opposite in a way that pay-to-play is directly opposite to free-for-life games)Most cash shop games do not have pay-to-play, or you can say they don't need it. Games implemented with 'cash shops' or 'you buy game stuff with cold hard cash' usually earn a lot just having the 'cash shops'. There're always hardcore gamers out there that would'nt mind spending extra cash just to be the best. For pay-to-play games, there are also such a case. Hardcore gamers, or maybe we should call them 'rich people' in this case, don't mind spending extra cash to pay for their game, but there's a flip side. What about the 'poor gamers'? They have no choice but to look for 'cash shop games' or 'free-for-life' games that don't really need cash to play. Ok... what I'm saying is that games shouldn't have pay-to-play but I'd rather they all have 'cash shops' as this would allow 'poor gamers' to be able to enjoy that game even though they don't have much cash. This thus brings perfect harmony between players, poor and rich. With this perfect harmony comes the 'ying' and 'yang' as well. You'll then be able to see the contrast of players- 'poor yet pro' and 'rich yet noob'. This makes MMORPGs a lot more fun to play. In this case, a pay-to-play game would only act as a filter that will deny the excess of 'poor yet pro' and only limit the game to 'rich' people.So... they shouldn't have pay-to-play games even though they want to make money. As for me, I'm those that are... 'I'd rather not spend money on online games' kind of player. (Even though I use to spend a lot on them)

Chinese name
Just now while I was trying to find an English-Chinese translator online, I stumbled upon an English-Chinese name translator instead. It's pretty fun. I've got Chinese version of some names and a few of them sounded really weird. If you're wondering what my English-Chinese name is... it's in Msn, beside my English name of Alvin. You all can go to Yahoo or Google to search for the translator too if you're curious of your 'Chinese' name. (I must say, they don't have every name in there... So some people won't really get the names translated... But it is fun. Do try it!)a-ěr-wén... huh?

Report book
Saturday, 6 October 2007
Who would've thought? We got the report book back only yesterday, how amusing... I've been waiting for the report book and my position since the week after the Prelims. Seriously... I've got a class position of 4 (sad I didn't get in the top 3...) and a level position of 7. (who's the other 3 not from our class?) I must say it's pretty good for someone who didn't put in that much effort as others had. If I can score as well or better in the O's, that'll be the best!Just another 2 weeks...

Recess today was... bad. Queued up at the chinese stall selling rice to get something to eat, but in the end got nothing. There was a bowl of porridge left but it was reserved for Mdm Goh. Darn it! I had no choice but to satisfy my hunger with something light. (I got a sandwich for recess) Oh well, I'll take it as a diet. I've actually got stuff to post about (other than what happened today) but now my mind's in a blank... Oh yes! The Sec 2s have post exam activities... They have dance, inline skating and... archery!(And other stuff of course, those aren't very interesting... to me) And they get full subsidy from the school! (For the 3 stuff I listed on top) How come our batch always gets sucky things?............
