Last night, I had a rather long chat with Greg on Msn, long time no chat. It started off with me asking for online games to play and it appears that Greg hadn't had any to play so didn't get any recommendations. Eventually, the topic shifts to cosplaying. Apparently, Greg seems interested in cosplaying and would like do try it the next year. To be honest, I too have thought of cosplaying but I've not exactly thought of experiencing it for myself. I've seen several cosplays (though all of them are on the net), and almost all of them are like... Bleh. I've roughly made some statstics which is probably: 1% of cosplays are good, 9% are OK, the rest are crap. I may be wrong, since I've never really seen them 'in the flesh'. Maybe most of the cosplay pictures uploaded on the net are crap, who knows? And also, my statistics are roughly based on cosplays, which means, not including the crossplays. Then came the topic of crossplaying (in between were several deviations from the actual topic, like how I'd spiral some people to death etc. Oh yeah, this topic IS a deviation from the actual topic on games, haha...) I was told to try crossplaying (I was thinking about that at that very same time) and well, who knows? I may actually look good crossplaying. xD And yeah, soon it was my 'bedtime' and I had to log off. The weather looks great today so I'd probably be off to the pool later at around 10+/11+ am.

It's been like 4 days since I last blogged. I've been busy the past few days (as usual). Specially since this block wastes like 3 hours of my life everyday in school (6 hours in class= not really wasted). And since I leave home at around 7.30am and would come back at around 6.30pm, I don't really have much time to use the laptop or the computer, I don't even have time to watch anime on the weekdays, it's been like 2 weeks since I watched any anime at all. Luckily for me, there's only 2 weeks left in this block. There won't be any lesson tomorrow and I'm planning to go to the pool again. I tried playing Trickster Online again just now, it was fun... for awhile that is. Then I got bored and uninstalled it. I feel like playing an MMORPG again, it's been awhile since I had decent one to play, but I've been spending so much time in school I doubt I'd be able to play much even if I did find one. I also want to get a new drawing up but I don't have any idea what to draw nor I have the time to draw. Yeah sure I can draw on the weekends, but after spending so much time in school everyday (longer than usual anyway), even I am starting to feel tired and would like to rest during the weekends. I'll see how thing goes...

Tada! New image up! As usual, it was drawn by me and I used adobe flash to do vector the image and coloured it, and after exporting it into JPEG, this is what I get. I know, the shading is... lousy. I still haven't grasped the true 'way' of shading naturally so... Speaking of Adobe Flash, I downloaded the CS4 version and well... it's a trial version so it'll expire after 28 days. It's a pity though, I want to use the program for other things. Furthermore, it'll be freaking expensive to buy. Sigh*It's Sunday already and so... tomorrow's another 9am to 6pm 'session' in school. I haven't really completed the things needed for Colour & Light so I'd have to complete them by today. There's also a Journal thing that I need to do so it's a real pain. I didn't go swimming yesterday because my younger sister didn't feel like going. Not that it matters anyway since I've already gone on Friday when my youngest sister suddenly felt like going for a swim. Next Friday's going to be free again so maybe I'll go for a swim again this week.

I've been told that my posts are 'emo' (KAYA)and well... I don't really think that so. Maybe they are a little whiny but... I don't know how to change it less 'emo' so... can't be helped eh?Just received my first assignment for AniFun and I have no idea how to complete it. Adobe Flash is needed and so, I'm downloading the trail version. We weren't taught much during AniFun and that's why I'm having some trouble. As for Colour and Light, planning for assignment 1 is currently underway and we have to build a model of something that shows form, shadow, etc (Example: buildings and statues). It sounds interesting but it'll be a pain to do.My youngest sister got her PSLE results back- 209. A somewhat decent aggregate but with that score she won't be able to get into East Spring (like me and my 2 other sisters). Though she said she didn't want to go to East Spring, even if she wanted to go, she won't be able to enter express(212 for express). When she got her results back and I SMS-ed my eldest sister the score, her reply was a 'WOW!'. I had a similar feeling too (frankly speaking) when I saw the result. While I was waiting for my youngest sister outside her school (ChongZheng Primary School- All my siblings went to the same primary school, I too went to CZ) I was worried if she'd come out crying. xD I had thought that she'll get at most 190 but she got over 200! I'm pleasantly surprised.I'm also planning to use Adobe Flash to do a vector image of one of my drawings and (if possible) save it as JPEG and set as my background picture. I'll try to get a picture done soon so... Look forward to my next 'project'!

It's the start of the new block! This block, I've got Colour & Light from 9am to 12noon and then from 3pm to 6pm, there's Animation Fundamentals. Colour & Light is an elective and many of the people in there are those in the same class as me during the first semester. Well, the lecturer isn't exactly... 'good' if I have to describe him. Not that it's for certain (since I wouldn't be able to see that just from the first lesson) but during the first lesson, he appeared to be 'not that good'. He was reading from the powerpoint slides and sometimes he even asked us to read it ourselves. As for AniFun, it's rather strict. It's the only subject so far that has rules like 'no slippers, no shorts, no short sleeves, etc'. Well, not that it bothers me since I always wear jeans and long sleeve shirt. Well, it's about time that I've gotten to the basics on Animation (I want to do animation in the future) so I'm rather looking forward to the lesson.I've heard from people that Video Fundamentals isn't as tough as it sounds (video= horrible <- my interpretation), the final assignment is a group work so the load of the work would be spread out. But since VidFun this block is at the end of the block, it clashes with MOI project 1 so... it'll be rather difficult to juggle the 2.For the next 3 weeks, my schedule would be 9am to 6pm (with 3 hours from 12noon to 3pm 'free'), so I'd have to find ways to entertain myself for the 3 hours. As for today, I went to the library and spent 2 hours browsing through books (just by mere browsing) and I borrowed 3 books relating to 'drawing manga/anime'. I hope it'll help me improve my drawings.

I've been thinking of what to draw for my new background but I've got no idea at all. Well, I thought of drawing a christmas one like the last time but christmas would not be here till next month so... is it abit too early? Hmm...Many people would probably think that since it's such a pain thinking and drawing new stuff, might as well not do it. That's true but I like drawing, I want to draw, I want to improve. So... by drawing frequently, I 'polish' my skills. So... yeah. I think of what to draw and hope to get it up soon.

Tuesday was the last day for this block and so I'll be at home for the rest of the week. Maybe I'll be out on Saturday, I'll just have to see whether the weather is fine that day- since it's been raining for the past few days. Recently, I've been playing my Psp (Yu-gi-oh tagforce 1). It's surprisingly addictive, even though I know that the actual card game is fun. I just didn't expect the game version of Yu-gi-oh to be that... fun. Well, games are like that whenever you first started playing them, I know that I'll eventually get bored of the game but I hope it's not soon, since I'll have to find another game to entertain myself with. The 'charred' skin on my shoulders are starting to flake. Now, there are lighter patches of skin amongst the brownish dry skin, it's like skin from some kind of shedding mutant. Ok, maybe that's abit of a exaggeration but whatever... I just hope the 'shedding' will be done by Saturday, then I can fry another new batch of skin under the sun. xD

Yesterday was a bad day. The skit that I had mentioned in the previous few posts, well... it didn't go well. Not at all. My group members had forgotten most of their lines, I'm not sure how well I did but I'm very positive that I got all my lines correct. It was hell, shameful. I just hope that the lecturer did get the few 'correct' phrases of Japanese out of that freakish skit. I had to take some of the blame as I didn't urge my group members to have more rehearsals. I should've known that the lack of rehearsals will come back to haunt my group.Well, what happened in the skit was hell, but before that, we got back our listening test for Japanese. I've scored a 40/40 (20% of overall Japanese grade)! The only one in the class I might add, yeah sure sounds like I'm bragging but let me, my skit (30%) had crashed and burned. I had wanted to try and get all A's for all my subjects this block but I guess that won't be happening now.

Today's the last day of this block and the official date for the skit. As I had predicted (pretty accurately), the group that I am in, we are going to have our first (and last) actual rehearsals today! We're going to meet in school at 12 but, there's the problem of location. Classrooms are probably being used for classes and I doubt we'll be able to get any available rooms to practice our skit in. We're going to rehearse from 12 to 3pm and... my class starts at 6pm so I'm going to have to find ways to entertain myself for 3 hours. My PSP would probably do but still...Yesterday was pretty horrible, I had to go to school carrying my bag in my arms as I wasn''t able to 'carry' them on my back as my sunburnt skin hasn't healed yet. Clothes are real irritating as well since they create friction with your skin. Just so you know, I've been going topless at home since Saturday and well, I can't be going topless outside so I'd have to bear with the 'pain' clothes are giving me. Speaking of clothes, I have to wear something nice for the skit since I'd be playing the role of a 'Japanese popstar', but knowing me, I don't really have fasion sense- I just wear what makes me feel comfortable (most of the time). Suddenly asking for me to 'wear something fit for a popstar' I doubt I have clothes like that in my closet. Gah whatever. I'd just have to wear what I think is fit for a star and... I'll just see what happens after that.

Gone to the pool yesterday! It's been a long time since I last went to a pool, how long was it? Uh... 3 to 2 years? (Not counting water theme parks) It was a great experience to be back in the pool again, and me being stupid had thought that I didn't need sunscreen and well... I got burnt. I was red, well I still am but not as bad a yesterday. I was red from chest up including my hands, though my hands now are back to a more 'natural' brown colour, my shoulders are still stinging. That goes to show, please put on sunscreen if you want to swim during noon (entered the pool at around 11.40+am and left at 2.10pm). It's the first time being sunburnt (for me) and I can't say I enjoyed it. Group skit presentation is on Tuesday and there's a test on Monday. But, my group hasn't had any rehearsals and I doubt we'd have any until Monday. It's really... Worrysome.

Today's the due date for the role-play script (Japanese assignment 2) and for the group that I'm in, we split the script into several scenes and each of us focused on their part of the script. We're to compile them later on by 2pm, but there were some problems. I'm not sure if the others noticed it but since some scenes requires one character to leave (the scene I was assigned to), I need to link it to the previous scene when all the characters are there. But since I have no access to the other scenes of the script, I'm unable to do that. I've been assigned to the last 2 scenes of the story and I have to end the story... 'Lucky' me...That said, my group is rather efficient. We started discussing on Monday, did the work on Tuesday and compile it on Wednesday. It's very efficient yes? I'm lucky to be put in an efficient group like this, furthermore, the lecturer did like our script idea (I gave almost no comments during discussion for the story). Yeah, so I'd have to do my best in the tasks I'm assigned to.

My group had finally started on discussions for the Japanese assignment 2! Hurray~! Today's the final day to confirm EVERYTHING in the script and since more marks would be awarded to groups that have 'Japanese Culture' in the script, we have to do research on what things to put in the script. There are things like shopping, eating and the places in Japan. I'm in charge of research on food and I have no idea where to start. Even though I have several results, I just don't know which of them are so called 'good' and suitable (I've never even eaten a decent japanese meal before) I'll try to manage somehow, today IS the last day available afterall...

Yesterday, I had actually planned to go to the swimming complex but when it suddenly started raining in the morning, I had a bad feeling about it. But, soon enough the sky cleared and when it was afternoon the sky was perfectly clear. But, my sister suddenly did not feel like going to the pool anymore, and thus... I didn't go. -.- I had a haircut yesterday, getting rid of my rather long hair once again. This time, I was the one who wanted my hair to be cut like that. Sure... long hair is 'cool' and stuff but it's real irritating as well. When wind blows, the 'curtains' keeps getting into your eyes and sometimes they get into your ears. So, now my hair is cut short. We've been told to start on the Japanese assignment 2 which is role-play, it's a group project and well... my group hasn't started any discussion yet. I had hoped to be placed in a group with more females as well... females are (normally) more 'kiasu' and would want to finish their work ASAP but... I guess that really isn't the case for my group. My group (I'm not the leader by the way, there just isn't any way to say it) consists of 3 females and me being the only male. Well, we're to submit the script for the role-play by Wednesday, which means that we have 3 days to go (that including today) but I hadn't gotten any word from my groupmates and I'm abit worried. I really hope things go well...
