Drawing

Saturday, 31 May 2008
Heading out to White Sands later at around noon to do abit of shopping. My youngest sister actually promised to go there with me but, just now her classmate called and invited her to 'Wild Wild Wet', and apparantly she agreed. >.> Darn, the sky is dark right now and she'd go out with a classmate to 'Wild Wild Wet'? Makes me feel rather 'unwanted'.

New background up as you all can see. As usual, my colouring sucked and it (kinda) spoilt the whole drawing, but using Paint.NET I was able to 'salvage' it. The drawing is from the game I'm currently playing on my ps2- Persona 3 FES- the ending part of 'the journey' with the main character lying down, head on the lap of the 'mechanical maiden'. I only saw that part once, so it's rather hard to get the drawing done and part of it may be inaccurate (eg. the way the main character is lying down), but overall I'm quite pleased. Yesterday, near the completion of the drawing (during the colouring part), my mum commented that the guy lying down is too... flat. So I tried to improve it and well... since I've nearly completed my colouring at that time, I couldn't change it much but I've done my best.
I hope to be able to draw LARGE-SCALE drawings next time (like... a group of a dozen people).

I didn't post anything the past few days as I was 'busy' playing my ps2. I've already completed the first part of the game, 'the journey', and now am trying to complete the second part, 'the answer'. I have to head out later to collect my assignments at 4pm, 6th storey at the teacher's office, which I forgot how to get to. I'd also need to photocopy my sketches and write ANOTHER journal regarding the whole ideation lesson (which I want to say that it's kind of boring).
The only reason I came online was to check my mails but thought that my blog could use a new post. I was also thinking of drawing up a new background from the game I'm currently playing, but...

I've spent most of my time the past few days infront of my PS2, and my... time passes so quickly when you're having fun. It's Saturday already, almost 1 week left till classes start again.
I went out yesterday to collect my matric. card, I was told by my care person to get it from the One-stop service centre but after a few minutes of waiting, they told me to get it from the design general office. Riiight... But then again, where is the general office? My sister isn't from design so she doesn't know as well, but she was the one who found it in the small corner, guarded by rather heavy doors. So, I got my matric. card! When I reached home, my sister helped me check my mails (I was too lazy) and 'my god!' 44 mails in my inbox. One of the mails informs me to collect my assignments and excercises on next Friday at around 4pm. Which means I'd have to head out AGAIN next week.
Man... I'm seriously lazy to go out... I just want to spend my holidays at home.

CCN day on Friday, as I said before I didn't really want to be there, but I guess it was rather fun. My shift for the stall was 12 to 1, but I stayed there for almost the whole time, though I was dazing out between 2 to 5 since my extended shift was over and I had nothing to do. Even though the fondue stall got $100+ (forgot the actual amount) total, we still made a loss, so we decided to not refund the $5 contributed by everyone from the class and the rest would be given to CCN. Though refunds would be given to those who bought all the items, the amount left is still rather large, it's all to help the needy.
Yesterday before APEL, at around 9.20(?) there was a talk on double diploma or something of sorts. Talking about graduating with 2 certificates for the top 10% of the cohort. However, the marks would only be taken from 1.1 (for block system only), which means from the first to the fourth week only. Upon hearing that, it made me (sort of) regret not really taking some of my assignments seriously, now I'm sure I won't get a spot. But whatever, what's done is done.
I spent the rest of the day playing PS2, which is also what I'm planning to do after I've finished blogging and watching anime. Oh yes, from now on it's holidays for us! 2 weeks, but I'd have to go out one day to check if I can get my matric. card, it's pretty troublesome without one.

We got the final assignment yesterday, and... I'm about finished. Rushed work though, not very 'high-quality' but I don't really care, it's the last assignment (just get it over and done with). There was rain yesterday but thank god it stopped before I head to school, but the rain of bugs didn't stop until I reach the bus stop (the bugs that appear when it's about to rain). When the rain stopped, the bugs were falling all over the place (it's almost the same now, though I'm at home and the amount is dramatically reduced).
The rushed assignment work was completed this morning, so I have all afternoon to play my ps2. Addictive game, involves going out during midnight and LOADS of shooting yourself in the head. The shooting in the head part is one of the most addictive (probably why it's M 17+).
School starts at 11am tomorrow, not really 'school' but CCN. To tell the truth, I don't really want to be involved in such a thing.

Class starts later than usual for today at 4pm, to ensure that we have enough time to complete the design. The sky's turning dark, it's probably going to rain soon. I just hope it stops raining by the time I'm about to leave for school. This week is the last week before the holidays, there's going to be a 'critique' assignment coming up probably today. Friday's going to be CCN day, we're setting up a chocolate fondue stall and I still don't have any post or job to do. I guess I'll be assigned to one soon, if not by Friday.
Friday is going to be one hell of a busy day, I can feel it.

No school today, but there's still an assignment to complete. Deadline: tomorrow. I'm almost done, all that's left is the rationale and some pasting. I still can't think of anything to write in the rationale, I've got to finish fast as I need my sleep. I'm feeling alot better today, though I still sound rather funny due to blocked nose but I think I'll be fine by tomorrow.
Got to go! Time waits for no man (I think it goes like that).

Darn, I've been unwell for the past few days already and I'm still sick. I've been unwell since... Thursday night? Something like a cold, except that it comes and goes but the headache and fever is always there. There's still school in the afternoon, I don't know what to do. If I skip school, it'll be hard for me to catch up since most of the class consists of consultation and the actual completion of the assignment.
I just hope that I'll recover soon.

I've finally gotten the game I want- it's an M17 game. They didn't ask for certification that I'm 17 so...
I've changed my blog background and added a new 'dislikes' at the sides, currently incomplete I think, there'll definitely be more coming up. OK, I've taken pictures for my assignment and I've done the selection. Now it's just the resizing of the pictures and pasting them on A3 mounting board. Oh yes, there's also the rationale to write so it's going to be a rather busy day. There's ANOTHER new assignment given on Friday, a real headache- choose a font, use the font to create a design for a wrapping paper of sorts. Darn, I've yet to complete the photograph one and there's a new one already?
This week is week 4 of school, and week 5 and 6 is going to be a holiday so there'll be no school, hooray! But this week is busy busy busy. We don't have exams so assignments are given to grade us, but seriously... the amount of assignment kills, so I'm seriously looking forward to the holidays so that I can play the new game I got (I doubt I'll have time this week).

It's been a few days since I last posted something. What the hell? What's up with the blessing and all that questions? I'm happy to be 'blessed' but the number of questions is definitely not a blessing.
ANYWAY, school has been moderately 'entertaining' I guess, I've received a new assignment. Man, the amount of assignments is bound to make anyone feel like 'why in the hell did I choose this course?'. New assignment- photo-taking, design elements- Complicated stuff. I didn't have a digital camera until yesterday so... I'm behind schedule. I'm planning to go somewhere after my APEL on Saturday to get the photos taken. Currently I have 1 photograph done, and I'd need a total of... 9 I think. I've not really grasped the 'true essence' of design elements so... I'm having a little problem with the photographs. I've been looking forward to a new digital camera but... not using it for assignments.
Ahh... What can I say, sometimes things just don't go your way.

The past few days weren't exactly nice... A lot has happened since I last posted something. I went out on Thursday and didn't really buy anything. On Thursday, I got a PSP game from Greg and headed to Tampines Mall. I went to the Popular to find myself an A3 sized mounting board (for my assignment 2) but couldn't find any, so I headed to Century Square. I wanted to get a PS2 game there but they don't have it, so... I left and went to White Sands. I wanted to see if the White Sands Popular has a mounting board but like the Popular in TM, they don't have mounting boards. So I went back home after I bought some food to try and comfort myself from an unfruitful 'trip'. I went out alone... Later in the evening my dad bought a new printer, it was totally cool! I specially love the scanner, I can't wait to try it out (That's probably the only good thing that happened)

Yesterday wasn't exactly a great day as well, I found another reason to dislike my class (well some of the people anyway). Just as I was trying to concentrate on the work that was given to us that day, I heard some very irritable laughter (I shall not say where it's from). Slowly, some of the details into the laughter went to my ears (I guess I... eavesdropped but whatever) the group of people were making fun at another person (from my class too of course). They were pretty loud, it's as if they want the person to notice them. They were also calling that person names, not very pleasant ones. That lesson felt like the longest 3 hours ever.
Even though I know that doesn't involve me but it's hard not to be bothered by it. I mean, who knows whether the group of people are calling others names, maybe even calling me names. But what the heck, I'm just glad I'm not involved (for now anyway).

Before I can even say 'My god, time sure flies!' it's May already... my god, time sure flies! I handed in the first assignment yesterday, and as written in my 'timetable' assignment two was on the way. The last hour of the lesson, the teacher passed down the 'question paper' for assignment two. Another 20%! Darn... Us moving images students are really busy. So far, 1 exercise and 2 assignments and it has only been 2 weeks into school! Tch... Oh well, at least there's no school today so, I need to do some research. Heading out later this afternoon, I need to get a new PSP game and if possible, a new PS2 one. I'd need some stationary as well, for this assignment.
Collage huh? I'm not with pasting stuff...
